    Yes the organ was originally shown at the 1904 World's Fair in St. Louis. Wanamaker established a large organ shop within the Philadelphia store to maintain and enlarge the organ.

    That is really something. I vaguely remember hearing about the need to add groups of stops but I'm glad you reminded me. I can certainly believe it. I will need to Google Mr. McLean when I get a chance.

    When was the last time you hear the organ in person?

    Over the last several years (since Macy's took over) they have greatly restored the organ. It is now sounding better than it has since I first heard it in the early 1960's.

    I just read a post you made in the Greetings forum about pipe organs. I can play the organ myself (not very well) so this peeked my curiosity.

    I was wondering if you had ever heard (in person) the Wanamaker Organ and more specifically, if you ever took a tour through the organ chambers?

    I have done both and it was very interesting to see how many of the pipes were 'jammed' into the organ bays.

    if it's the state champions, then the gold trophy is around the corner, keep your fingers crossed :) As for me, school is ok. I'm out now till Jan 9th so consider it I guess a Christmas Break.

    Doing terrific! I just got back from my cruise. I made a blog about it November 26th and I got off yesterday. Long cruise and a long flight plus I was tired and was sick during the last few days but I had fun. Back here for awhile :p Hope you did ok!
